We May Only Know Later
--When you don't need to know the full story--
I am drawn to the internal beauty and pain
Not forgetting the external. Likewise.
We barely know the stories.
Hints and snippets
Tossed casually to the gathering
For digestion or dispersion.
There is so much good there.
So, our imagination takes the good and ….
Throws it right back.
We wonder if that is enough for an hour
To recognize the love she is giving us.
As the evanescent moments become even more fleeting
The memories will slowly become the present.
What we had in that room
Becomes a different replay for each of us.
Different stories.
Different takeaways.
Different smiles.
Led by the tall woman .
Once buried in black in the corner.
Needing to be in front
For all of us to experience.
All the humanness she has.
For the next cast of characters in the room
I only ask that you pay attention.
Don’t look down.
Keep your eyes glued to the woman in the front.
You don’t know what will happen
Until you try and do something you thought—
Impossible.
